Saint John Fundy "TIDE" Swim Team works with children from 6-17 promoting the benefits of sport, teamwork and physical fitness. Our swimmers represent the Greater Saint John Region at over a dozen meets each year.
Tide welcomes all swimmers and our coaches help each athlete develop at a pace that is appropriate for their ability and age. Click HERE for printable introductory letter.
We have practise times six days a week and this enables all swimmers with coaches’ direction, to properly plan and follow through with long-term development. Mighty Sharks, the youngest level at 6, 7 and 8 years old practise twice a week while Junior B aged swimmers, 9 to 12, can swim 3 or more times per week. Once skills and abilities permit, Coaches may move swimmers to the Junior A and Senior levels where they can swim up to 9 times a week both at early morning and after school sessions.
Registration fees are set annually based on Pool costs and the number of swimmers enrolled in the club. The TIDE swim club is a non-profit organization and we rely on membership fees and fundraising to offset pool costs, coaching expenses and other costs for our competitive and non competitive swimmers. We have an executive and Parents committee to help organize and conduct these operations. Parents also have the ability to become involved in officiating and we look each year to enable club members to obtain various accreditation levels of officiating with Swim Canada.

There is a $100 discount for the 2nd family member and a $200 discount for the 3rd family member for Junior and Senior swimmers. This discount does not apply for Mighty Sharks.
All swimmers who are members of TIDE are required to become members of Swimming Natation Canada (SNC) and Swim New Brunswick (SNB) on an annual basis for the swim year.
The SNB fee for 2010- 2011 for competitive swimmers are:

This fee provides accident insurance coverage while the swimmer is in the pool and accident insurance while on swim related activities away from the pool deck.
